Jeroen Bleekemolen claimed pole position in the Blancpain Sprint Series in qualifying on home soil at Zandvoort.

Driving the Grasser Racing Lamborghini that scored a double win last time out at Brands Hatch, Bleekemolen was unstoppable in the final Q3 session and finished up nearly three tenths of a second clear.

Fellow Dutchman Peter Kox had put his Reiter Lamborghini second with his first flying lap, but that effort would be beaten by defending champion Laurens Vanthoor in his WRT Audi.

The front two rows of the grid both consist of a Lamborghini leading an Audi, with Rene Rast putting the #2 WRT car alongside Kox’s car in fourth.

Maximilian Buhk was over a second away from pole in the championship-leading #84 HTP Mercedes in fifth ahead of Alessandro Balzan, who managed a great effort on his first appearance in the #90 Villorba Corse Ferrari with Filip Salaquarda.

The fourth and fifth rows will both be made up of a Phoenix Audi and a BMW Brazil car, with Markus Winkelhock seventh ahead of Sergio Jimenez and Marc Basseng ninth ahead of Nelson Piquet.
