Perez Closing In On 2015 Force India Seat

1 Mins read

Sergio Perez has told the Formula1.com website that he believes that he will be extending his current contract soon and driving with Force India in 2015.

While there are other seats available on the grid it is suspected the Mexican will say on with the Silverstone based team for a second season.

“I believe there are big chances of me staying here,” he told Formula1.com. “We are quite advanced in negotiations, so let’s see where I end up.

“There are not many options out there that would be better to where I am, so there is no reason for me to move. Anything can happen, but I think there is a big chance of staying.”

Perez is currently sitting in eleventh place in the drivers championship, just two points behind Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen and 31 points from team-mate Nico Hulkenberg who is also expected to continue with the team in 2015.
