Stuvik Storms to EF Open Pole at Spa

Current EuroFormula Open Championship leader Sandy Stuvik was fastest in qualifying for race one of the weekend at the Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.

The Thai driver was the class of the field, with the RP Motorsport driver over seven tenths of a second faster than everyone else, with only Alex Palou of Campos Racing within a second of Stuvik’s 2:15.001s time.

Yarin Stern was the best placed of the Team West-Tec F3 entries in third, but was over a second behind the pole time. Artur Janosz, currently third in the championship behind Stuvik and Palou, will start this afternoon’s opening race from fourth for RP Motorsport.

Yu Kanamaru will start fifth for Emilio de Villota Motorsport ahead of the third RP Motorsport entry of Andres Saravia, while FIA European Formula 3 driver Alexander Toril, making his first appearance of the season for Emilio de Villota Motorsport will start seventh.

Konstantin Tereschenko will start eighth for Campos Racing ahead of his fellow Russian John Simonyan of RP Motorsport, while Wei Fung Thong will start tenth for Team West-Tec F3.
