Horrobin Back For More At Brands Hatch

1 Mins read

Simon Horrobin will be back for his second taste of Courier Connections Renault UK Clio Cup action in the final rounds of the 2014 season at Brands Hatch GP next weekend.

Horrobin stepped up to the Clio Cup from Ford Fiesta racing last time out at Rockingham with Teams Champions SV Racing.

The 48 year old posted a thirteenth place finish in the opening race in Corby, which he improved on with twelfth in race two.

Horrobin is looking forward to getting back in the Clio at Brands, and hopes for a full-time return next season.

“The whole Rockingham weekend went well, everyone made us feel welcome in the championship and the other members of the team were great,” said Horrobin. “The racing was really good, we learnt a lot and I’ll definitely be more relaxed for Brands Hatch – I’m really looking forward to it.

“I’ve been on the Indy Circuit a good few times before, but never the GP track, so it’s going to be a great opportunity to race there for the first time. After that, we need to get everything together with SV to work on a deal for the full Clio Cup season next year.”
