Procter heads BTRDA Rallycross entry list for Croft

1 Mins read

European Rallycross Championship driver Kevin Procter heads up a 60 car strong line up for the penultimate round of the 2014 Autosport International BTRDA Rallycross Championship at Croft Circuit on Sunday 16 November.

Procter will be taking part in his new Ford Fiesta Supercar and will be hoping for more luck than his outing at the British Rallycross Championship last month which saw him experience a few issues with his new car. The local driver will be up against the likes of Simon Horton and Gary Pusey in their Subaru’s along with former National Champion Andy Grant in his Ford Focus.

‘Mad’ Mark Watson will be returning to the grid in his revamped Citroen Xsara Supercar and will hope to impress new sponsors at his local track.

Series regulars will do battle in the two-wheel classes including Chris Harper who leads the overall championship in his Citroen Saxo; Peugeot 206 drivers Guy Corner and Larry Carter lead the way in the 2000cc and 1600cc SuperModified series while Kieran Curran will be the man to beat in his Vauxhall Corsa. Newly crowned Super 1600 British Champion Jack Thorne will be out to prove the championship was no fluke alongside the rear-wheel-drive Corsa of Allan Tapscott and Brian Jukes in his diesel-powered Audi TT.

A number of local drivers are expected to join the line up with a variety of machinery including a Peugeot 205, Citroen Saxo, Vauxhall Nova, Suzuki Swift a pair of Lotus Exiges, Peugoet 106, Rover Metro and a Mini.

Shoppers in Darlington town centre will have the chance to get up close and personal from 12 noon until 4pm on Saturday 8th November, with ‘Mad’ Mark Watson and his 550bhp Citroen Xsara Supercar. He’ll be joined by Guy Corner and his Peugeot 206 along with Bryan Jukes and his Audi TT.
