Fantin retains Draco Racing seat for 2015

1 Mins read

Pietro Fantin will continue his association with the International Draco Racing team in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series for another season after signing for the 2015 season.

The Brazilian joined Draco Racing ahead of the 2014 season, and took his maiden series podium at Moscow Raceway, but suffered a frustrating season where he showed good pace but did not have the results to show for it, and he will be eager to have a much better 2015.

“I’m really happy to have another opportunity to stay in World Series by Renault with Draco,” said Fantin. “2014 was a year of many challenges and difficulties but we achieved a podium and developed a lot, so to continue with the team increases our ambitions for next year.

“Since the first practice with Draco, even in 2013, I had a great relationship with everyone, so I believe that staying with the team will further strengthen our work so that we have a successful 2015.

“That’s why we have started working hard now to best prepare our car for a year that will be crucial to my career.”

Fantin had tested with Draco Racing in the post-season tests in Spain alongside fellow Brazilian Bruno Bonifacio, who is the tipped to replace Italian Luca Ghiotto alongside Fantin in the squad for 2015.
