Baptista switches to Campos for second EuroFormula Open season

1 Mins read

Brazilian racer Henrique Baptista will compete for Campos Racing in 2015 for his second season of the EuroFormula Open.

The twenty-two year old switches from DAV Racing where he scored eleven points during the 2014 season, and took a best finish of sixth place at the Hungaroring in Hungary.

Baptista has previous experience in Formula Renault, Formula 3 and the Asian-based MRF Challenge, and will be competing in 2015 with a race winning team from the EuroFormula Open series in 2014.

Campos Racing took Alex Palou to three race victories in 2014, and also gave points-scoring rides to Konstantin Tereschenko and Sean Walkinshaw, and Team Principal Adrian Campos is convinced Baptista can have a strong sophomore year in the series.

“We are pleased to announce the signing of new driver Henrique Baptista,” said Campos. “He has a great capacity for learning and is working to improve a lot this winter.

“His progression is outstanding. I’m convinced he will be able to do a great job this season”.

The EuroFormula Open season kicks off at the Circuito de Jerez on the weekend of the 11th/12th of April, and will race at eight different circuits around Europe throughout 2015.
