BTCC TV coverage heads Stateside with CBSSN deal

The Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship TV coverage is set to head stateside following a multi-year contract which will see CBS Sports Network (CBSSN) beam in to 60+ million households across the US and Canada.

A one hour highlight package will be screened on CBSSN in a prime time slot on the Wednesday 10 days after each event as part of its Torque.TV Block on Wednesday evenings.

The deal also brings the highlight programme to the Torque.TV website making it available for 90 days after airing via its video on deman platform.

“This is the biggest coverage the BTCC has ever had in the important and vast North American market, and we are delighted to announce this long-term broadcast arrangement with Torque.TV that includes the coverage on CBS Sports Network.” said BTCC Series Director, Alan Gow.

“The BTCC has always appealed to spectators around the globe, so this yet further underlines its popularity. Our statistics and contact forums have shown continued growth in North America and we are pleased that this brings the action to our legions of fans in the region.”

stefthepef DunlopBTCC Pretty sure that was WTCC, which mostly got TV time because there used to be a U.S. date.

    The_Rusty_Hub DunlopBTCC Ahhh yes.
We need another US date so we can get WTCC on time, too.
