Tatiana Calderon: “It’s not been my weekend”

1 Mins read

It has not been the weekend third year driver Tatiana Calderon had wanted at Silverstone, with the Colombian finishing race one twentieth and being caught up in a first lap incident in race two.

Speaking to The Checkered Flag ahead of the final race of the weekend, Carlin driver Calderon revealed it had not been the weekend she had expected.

“It’s not been my weekend so far,” revealed Calderon. “I’ve never had a good race at Silverstone yet. You shouldn’t have favourite tracks but this is not one of my favourites.”

Looking ahead to race three, Calderon hopes to avoid the problems that have blighted the start of the previous two races, one of which cost her the chance of a race finish on Saturday.

“I’m start from twenty-first, so you start in the trouble,” said Calderon. “ I think I can have a good race pace; I have more rhythm in the races, rather than in qualifying.

“The aim today is to move up and, if I get lucky, get some points, but difficult starting from where I start.”
