Regalia leads FMS Racing 1-2 in second practice

1 Mins read

Facu Regalia continued to set the pace on the opening day of the 2015 Auto GP season at the Hungaroring by setting the quickest time in the second free practice session.

The Argentine driver set a best lap time of 1m34.533s to be comfortable clear of the rest of the nine-car field, leading FMS Racing team-mate Leonardo Pulcini by 0.633s.

Antonio Pizzonia was third for Zele Racing ahead of Paolo Coloni Racing’s Christof von Grunigen, while Giuseppe Cipriani was again fifth for the Ibiza Racing Team.

Luis Sa Silva placed sixth for Zele Racing ahead of the Virtuosi UK duo of Nikita Zlobin and Johnny Cecotto Jr, with the Venezuelan having a quiet session, completing only eight laps, the least of any driver in the field.

For the second session in a row, Andres Mendez was ninth and last in the third of the Zele Racing entries.

Qualifying for race one takes place later this afternoon, with Regalia the odds-on favourite for pole position after his free practice efforts so far.
