Will Stevens: “I’ll never turn down time in the car”

1 Mins read

Will Stevens is disappointed not to be testing this week at the Circuit de Catalunya but understands the reasons why his Manor F1 Team are absent.

The team’s Sporting Director Graeme Lowdon revealed last week that Manor would not be running this week, citing they had ‘nothing to test’ after being forced to run with a modified 2014 Marussia so far in 2015.

“Clearly any time in the car is good because we still haven’t had a test day of trying whatever we want, and to try and see if we can improve,” said Stevens to Autosport.

“I’ll never turn down time in the car. It would have been nice to test, but the team has its reasons for not wanting to do it, and I’ll stick by what they want to do.”

Stevens has so far finished all three races he has started this season, having been unable to start the opening two races in Australia and Malaysia due to technical issues. He most recently finished seventeenth in the Spanish Grand Prix.
