D’Ambrosio Signs for Another Season with Dragon Racing

1 Mins read

After an impressive initial season with Dragon Racing, Belgium driver, Jerome d’Ambrosio returns to the team for the 2015/16 season after helping them to second in the FIA Formula E teams championship and himself managing fourth in the drivers championship.

D’Ambrosio picked up one victory last year at the Berlin ePrix where he managed to work his way through the field after a good pitstop, holding off Sebastien Buemi to take second place on the track. A post-race decision would see D’Ambrosio promoted to first place after Lucas di Grassi was disqualified.

“I have watched the entire Dragon Racing organisation produce race wins and podium finishes, and I feel that we have the opportunity to build on the knowledge and experience we all gained in season one.” said an excited d’Ambrosio.

“I am so pleased to have Jerome continue to pilot the #7 Dragon Racing entry,” said Jay Penske, the Founder and Owner of Dragon Racing. “After watching Jerome’s performance on track and the way that he worked with his engineers and crew in the first season, I feel that season two will produce more podium finishes, and hopefully more results like in Berlin and London.”

Complimenting his win in Berlin, he also took two second place finishes at the London ePrix, promoting him up the championship table for the end of the season. His team mate for the new season is yet to be announced.

D’Ambrosio and the rest of the Formula E field will be back to official testing on August 10th at Donington Park.
