Riberas Leads Supercup Practice, Cammish Stars

1 Mins read

Spaniard Alex Riberas hit the top of the time sheets as the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup took to the Silverstone Grand Prix layout for the first time in 2015.

The Heart of Racing by Lechner driver was classified first after a fraught session, with multiple classified leaders. Philipp Eng continued his strong form with second for Team Project 1 after another spectacular run.

Yet it was Dan Cammish, the Redline Racing Porsche Carrera Cup GB star, who put his name on everybody’s lips. Not only did he he outperform all of the other eight GB regulars, for a long period of the forty five minute session he outgunned the other Supercup stars.

MOMO-Megatron Team PARTRAX driver Ben Barker starred in fifth and this form would be most welcome in qualifying and a rostrum race finish would be much deserved.

Austria winner Christopher Zöchling was classified eighth but one must doubt this will be his limit for the weekend. Ditto Josh Webster, the Team Parker Racing man only thirteenth.

Qualifying, along with more answers, awaits at 11:25 tomorrow morning. Get set for the Supercup to star on day two of the 2015 British Grand Prix.
