Alex Lynn is Handed Post-Race Penalty

1 Mins read

DAMS driver Alex Lynn has been handed a penalty following the incident between himself and Rapax’s Russian driver Sergey Sirotkin at Turn 1 on Lap 13 of Saturday’s Feature Race.

The incident happened when the Brit got too hot on the brakes coming into the first corner and made contact with Sirotkin which caused Lynn to go airborne for a moment.

As a result of getting a little too optimistic on the brakes, Lynn was handed a five place grid penalty for Sunday’s Sprint Race. However, as both driver were forced to retire as a result of what happened, the Brit will have to start that race from the pit lane due to already being at the back of the grid.

Sirotkin starts Sunday’s race 20th position behind rookie driver Jann Mardenbrough.
