Double Duty For Rivett With Super Tourer Drive

1 Mins read

Paul Rivett will be a busy man this weekend at Rockingham, as he is combining his usual entry in the Renault UK Clio Cup with an appearance in the HSCC Super Touring Car Trophy.

The HSCC is making a guest appearance on the BTCC package for the second season in a row, taking the place of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB in the support paddock.

Rivett made his HSCC debut earlier this year at the Silverstone Classic, winning the ST2 class in Alex Schooledge’s Honda Accord. The 37 year old has been invited to compete in the car once again this weekend, giving him a busy schedule for the meeting.

After back-to-back qualifying sessions on Saturday morning, Rivett will compete in the opening Clio race at 15:00, before being back on track for the HSCC opener at 16:20. On Sunday, he will appear live on ITV4 twice, at 13:00 for the Clios and 14:32 for the HSCC.

Rivett is currently competing for a fourth Clio Cup title, sitting fourth in the standings with WDE Motorsport. One win and five other podium finishes so far this campaign put him 58 points shy of the series leader.
