Team SARD MORAND confirm driver line up for Austin and Fuji

LMP2 frontrunners Team SARD MORAND have confirmed that Archie Hamilton will join the team for the next round of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship at Circuit of the Americas after a successful outing for the team at the 6 Hours of the Nurburgring.

Hamilton will join team regulars Oliver Webb and Pierre Ragues for the 6 Hours of the Circuit of The Americas race on 19 September while Chris Cumming will join Webb and Ragues for the 6 Hours of Fuji on 11 October.

Cumming’s prior experience comes from the American Le Mans Series and the current Tudor United SportsCar Championship and includes class victories in 2013, 2014 and 2015; He is currently third in the LMPC standings for the 2015 Tudor United SportsCar Championship, he also took part in this years 24 Hours of Le Mans with the OAK racing team.

Team Manager Benoit Morand confirmed “Archie Hamilton’s drive was fully satisfactory at the Nurburgring and both of us rapidly shared the common will to carry on at the Circuit of The Americas. I am very pleased because the combination with Oliver and Pierre is a great promise for another significant race result.

“I am also very happy to welcome Christopher Cumming at the 6 Hours of Fuji. He is one of the best drivers in the LMPC class over the past few years and TEAM SARD MORAND will give him another opportunity to drive at the highest level of endurance racing after his Le Mans debut last June. I am looking forward to those two races with great expectations!”
