Felipe Massa: “Normally I don’t have any issues on this track”

1 Mins read

Felipe Massa admitted he has been struggling this weekend at Interlagos and despite finding more speed in each of the phases of qualifying, he will start only eighth in front of his home fans.

The Williams Martini Racing driver was baffled by the issues, especially as he has a tremendous record of results at the circuit and does not usually have these kind of problems, but hopes a solution can be found so he can have a competitive race on Sunday.

“The struggles I had yesterday are still there,” revealed Massa, who complained of rear instability on Friday. “We have made changes but I am still losing time in sector two.

“Normally I don’t have any issues on this track but for some reason it’s not working for me. We will have to look and see where we can gain some time with the limited options available now.

“The fans will give me such a boost tomorrow so I hope it can be the deciding factor and things will be in my favour.”
