Ginetta GT4 Supercup Statistics: Winter 2015

3 Mins read

With an entertaining fifth season of the Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup now in the record books, The Checkered Flag have crunched the numbers to see how the 2015 action affected all the key statistics on the championship’s history so far.

Carl Breeze continues to be ever-present in the support category, competing in every single race so far of the Supercup era. That longevity means he holds clear leads in the standings for more race wins and podium finishes, while he usurped Tom Ingram for most pole positions this season.

2015 champion Tom Oliphant continued the record that each Supercup champion has carded at least twenty podium finishes in their title-winning season, while he also sits near the top of the leaderboards for fastest laps and race wins in a season.

Reece Somerfield became the second driver after Breeze to join the 100 club for race starts during the Brands Hatch GP season finale, with Jamie Orton and Colin White just missing out on that milestone this year – whilst Will Burns and Oliphant reached the half-century.

The stats that remain untouchable to present are Ingram’s stunning fifteen fastest laps in a season, Tom Sharp’s prolific run of 20 wins in 54 races for a winning percentage of 37%, and Charlie Robertson’s qualifying dominance of six pole positions in a season.
