BFGoodrich becomes official tyre supplier for Red Bull GRC

1 Mins read

Red Bull Global Rallycross have announced that BFGoodrich will become the series sole tyre supplier for the upcoming season, returning to the first time since 2011.

Taking over from Yokohama, the Michelin-owned firm have committed to a multi-year deal which will see the company supply tyres for both Supercars and GRC Lites categories.

“We are extremely excited to partner with BFGoodrich as our exclusive tire supplier in Red Bull GRC competition,” said Red Bull Global Rallycross CEO Colin Dyne. “BFGoodrich’s legacy, both in and out of motorsport, is second to none, and we look forward to working with them as one of our most integral partners beginning with this season.”

BFGoodrich’s track record in American off-road racing is already an impressive one. The company has won 20 of the last 22 desert races in the continent

“BFGoodrich’s heritage of four decades in racing on a wide variety of surfaces and terrain demonstrates the ability to bring advanced tire technology to racing disciplines like the Red Bull Global Rallycross,”  said Scott Clark, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Michelin North America. “In addition, BFGoodrich Tires shares many of the brand attributes and consumer interaction efforts that the Red Bull brand boasts. BFGoodrich Tires’ involvement in the GRC series is a natural extension of the brand’s global partnership with Red Bull.”

The new partnership begins imminently with BFGoodrich’s first race as the sole tyre supplier for Red Bull GRC set to take place later this year.
