Mitch Evans and Sean Gelael will form the line-up for Campos Racing in the 2016 GP2 Series season, with the team also announcing a two-year partnership with Jagonya Ayam, KFC’s Indonesian branch and long-term backers of Gelael.
Evans and Gelael have replaced 2015 Campos Racing drivers Rio Haryanto, who has been heavily linked with a move into Formula 1 with the Manor F1 Team, and Arthur Pic in the team.
Evans will be competing in his fourth season of GP2 this season after debuting back in 2013 for Arden International before spending two seasons with Russian Time. He has four race wins in that time having arrived in the championship on the back of winning the 2012 GP3 Series title.
Gelael has moved across from racing in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series in 2015 with the Carlin team, and also made his GP2 Series debut for the same squad at the Hungaroring last July, finishing a best of fifteenth in the Bahrain Sprint race towards the end of the season.
