Former Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup champions HHC Motorsport will not run any cars in the BTCC support championship this season.

The Yorkshire-based outfit have made the decision to focus on their efforts in the Ginetta Junior Championship and BRDC Formula 4 instead.

The team made an immediate impact when they entered the Supercup in 2014, winning the drivers title at the first attempt with Charlie Robertson.

Last season, the team’s trio of drivers Carl Breeze, Jamie Orton and Will Burns finished second, third and fifth in the standings respectively.

The team did come away with their first Teams Championship however, alongside title success in both Ginetta Juniors and BRDC F4.

“We’ve decided not to run any cars in the Ginetta GT4 Supercup this year,” team boss Charlie Kemp told Motorsport News.

“Instead, we want to really focus on Ginetta Juniors and BRDC Formula 4, and do a better job of getting good drivers in from the junior series.

“With the new car in BRDC F4, we want to put a lot more resources into that, as well as run four or five cars in Ginetta Juniors.”

HHC have confirmed one driver for Ginetta Juniors so far in Will Tregurtha, with Lewis Brown and Charlie Fagg expected to be joining him, whilst Sisa Ngebulana and Omar Ismail have been announced for BRDC F4.
