Team Aguri Sign Julio Moreno in Reserve Role

1 Mins read

Julio Moreno has been named as a FIA Formula E reserve driver with Team Aguri.

This is a great team with very talented drivers and engineers, and I’m excited to be a part of it. Formula E is something completely new and is already extremely popular with motorsport fans worldwide, and I look forward to working with the team,” Moreno said.

Moreno competed in the Formula 3 European Championship last year with T-Sport and after failing to score a single point the 20-year-old has moved into the EuroFormula Open Championship.

Antonio Felix da Costa and Salvador Duran are the current driver line up at Team Aguri. Duran joined the team just ahead of the Buenos Aires ePrix, replacing Nathanael Berthon.

Julio is a promising driver who has great experience for someone of his age, having competed in single-seaters for the past four years,” said Team Principal, Mark Preston.

It’s great to welcome him to the team and we hope to provide him with the skills and opportunities to further his career.” The next round of the FIA Formula E Championship will take place in less than a months’ time in Mexico.
