As the dust settles on the Circuit of Ireland Rally it was time for reflection for M-Sport who had a number of cars competing over the weekend. The event, which was a counting round of the 2016 FIA European Rally Championship and the British Rally Championship.

Reigning European Champion Kajetan Kajetanowicz proved once again his pace on the roads of Northern Ireland by securing second just behind Craig Breen in a Citroen DS3 WRC. Alastair Fisher, a nephew of the late Bertie Fisher also had a strong showing taking the final podium spot just under a minute off the winner. Josh Moffet took fourth and top points in the BRC.

Elfyn Evans had an impressive start leading after two stages until an alternator problem put him out of contention. He rejoined on day two and was again quick until an off put him out of the event.

“It’s been a great weekend of motorsport and we’ve seen some excellent performances on both the stages and the racetrack.”said M-Sport Managing Director Malcolm Wilson OBE “The level of competition at the Circuit of Ireland was incredibly high so it was fantastic to see the Fiesta drivers performing so strongly against our competitors.”

The M-Sport team are back in action this weekend on Rally Argentina.
