Sebastien Buemi has said that he is already thinking ahead to the championship decider in London after taking victory in the Berlin ePrix.

His win around the streets of the German capital meant that he has cut Lucas di Grassi’s lead at the top of the championship to just a single point, and Buemi says that he is already thinking about how he can pull off the right result around Battersea Park.

He’ll be looking to avoid a repeat of last year, where he ended up losing the championship by a single point to rival Nelson Piquet Jnr after the London double header.

Speaking after the race he said, “I cannot express how happy I am about this result. It is a lot of points for the championship and that is very important, but I need to focus and keep it together for the last two races.”

“We should enjoy this result, the team has worked really hard and has done a fantastic job, but I’m already thinking about London and what we need to do!”

Speaking about his win in Berlin, he said that after making his move past Jean-Eric Vergne for the lead, he was concentrating on getting the two extra points for fastest laps, “I could extend the gap but then backed off to try and save energy again go for the fastest lap, but I just missed out.”

“I tried again for the fastest lap with the second car but in the end I didn’t manage it so that’s the only disappointment.”

Renault e.dams Senior Team Manager, Alain Prost, also said that the team will be concentrating on the title fight in the coming weeks. He commented, “We know that the Abt team are going to be tough in London but we have a bit more of a gap in the championship now. Our goal remains to be champion in both championships and we have to keep that in mind over the coming weeks.”
