Ginetta will return to the Henry Surtees Brooklands Team Karting Challenge on Tuesday 5 July at Mercedes-Benz World with an all-star line-up featuring a pair of factory drivers and two current Ginetta Junior stars.
Triple Ginetta champion Charlie Robertson will be joined by his fellow Ginetta factory ace Mike Simpson, and the current top two in the Junior standings, reigning Winter Series champion Stuart Middleton and Will Tregurtha.
This year marks the fifth running of the annual event, which regularly sees approximately 30 teams consisting of over 100 drivers battle it out in an endurance race, which raises money for the Henry Surtees Foundation and the Brooklands museum.
“Ginetta played a special part in the life of Henry and myself, and we are delighted that Ginetta continue to support Henry through the Henry Surtees Foundation,” said John Surtees OBE.
Ginetta have entered a team into the event for the past few years and emerged victorious in 2014 with Robertson, Jamie Chadwick, James Kellett and Esmee Hawkey behind the wheel, a success that Robertson is hoping to replicate.
“I’m really looking forward to returning to the Henry Surtees Brooklands Team Karting Challenge, and representing Ginetta whilst raising money for such a great and important cause,” said Robertson.
“It was a fantastic event last year and full of action all the way through. Not only that, but I’m looking to get our title back this year!”
Tregurtha commented: “It will be a real thrill to race in the Henry Surtees Karting Challenge. It is a great cause and a brilliant event for a young driver like myself to be involved in.
“It is also going to be a fantastic opportunity to spend time with, and learn from, the two factory drivers. They are great examples for me to follow.”
