After a successful debut with the new Ferrari 488 GT3 at the Silverstone 500 British GT Championship event held earlier in June, FF Corse will again enter the Fox Motorsport owned car into competition.
The team will turn it’s attention to the International GT Open championship which holds it’s UK round on the Grand Prix circuit at Silverstone over the weekend of July 23rd/24th.
Having achieved a fine third place finish with the car at the Silverstone 500 with Marco Attard and Adam Carroll driving, a different pairing of Fox Motorsport principal, Paul McNeilly and 2014 British GT GT4 champion Jamie Stanley will compete in the Ferrari for the GT Open races.
McNeilly and Stanley were originally going to drive the car in the British GT round before a decision to replace them with Attard and Carroll saw them ousted, making the visit of GT Open (a series exclusive to GT3) to the Northamptonshire circuit – local to FF Corse – a timely opportunity for them to get some experience of the 488 GT3.
“We’re really looking forward to it, The 488 will be mega!” Paul McNeilly told The Checkered Flag. “We’ll run in the Pro – Am class but details are yet to be confirmed.”
