Jenson Button has received the all clear after complaining of eye irritation during Free Practice 2 for the German Grand Prix.
The McLaren-Honda driver finished the opening session at the Hockenheimring in eighth with a time of 1:17.612. Near the end of the second practice, it was reported that Button was at the onsite medical centre. McLaren did not confirm what was wrong with the Briton to make his session end early.
After the session had ended it was confirmed that Button was complaining of an eye irritation during the session. With Button going to the nearest hospital of Mannheim to have a precautionary check-up.
Button later confirmed on Twitter that everything was OK, a foreign body was found to be the cause of his irritation after an eye examination. He also confirmed that he will continue racing for McLaren this weekend in Germany.
Button still managed to finish the session in eighth for the Woking based outfit. Continuing his strong performance from FP1, he set a time of 1:17.087 in the second session on Friday.
