Dorlin Back On Track With “Brilliant” Croft Weekend

1 Mins read

James Dorlin regained the 2016 Michelin Clio Cup Series championship lead last weekend at Croft with

Despite a brilliant start to the campaign with five wins in the first six races, a mixed outing at Brands Hatch last month. caused Dorlin to lose the points advantage for the first time this year.

The Westbourne Motorsport ace was back on form in North Yorkshire though, converting a pair of front row starts into a superb double victory.

The opening success came in stunning fashion, with Dorlin pulling thirteen seconds clear of current BTCC star Josh Cook, though the second race was a much closer affair.

“It was a brilliant weekend for me coming away with exactly what I went to achieve, maximum points and back in the lead of the championship with a little bit of breathing space now after a tough weekend at Brands Hatch,” said Dorlin.

“With only two more meetings left in 2016 it’s all about consistent strong points finishes and with the help of Westbourne Motorsport I believe we can do it!”
