Vauxhall Motorsport are fielding a four-car line-up for the penultimate round of the 2016 DMACK Junior British Rally Championship at the penultimate round of the season at the Ulster Rally.
Leading the charge in the Vauxhall ADAM R2’s in Ulster are Junior BRC Leader Robert Duggan and his team-mate Mattias Adielsson who sits third in the standings.
Chris West will be competing in the third ADAM R2 despite this weekend to get a feel for the championship ahead of a potential 2017 campaign. While Fred Field will compete at his fourth Ulster Rally in the ADAM Cup Car.
Duggan, who will not be fielding his ‘Joker Card’ nomination at this rally will have his eyes set on a potential subsidised season in the 2017 Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy if he wins this weekend in Ulster.
The Irishman said “It will be great to be back on Irish tarmac, hopefully it suits us a lot better than the Epynt tarmac. We have been out last weekend working on our pacenotes and are very happy with them heading to Ulster.
The real hard work starts now, we have had 3 wins and hopefully we can make it four on Ulster. It won’t come easy as this is a very tough event for everyone. This year has been good to us so far, we hope this continues for us at Ulster and Isle of Man. I’m looking forward to getting behind the wheel of the ADAM on the tarmac again.”
Adielsson added “We feel very well-prepared for this rally, I have watched a lot of in-car footage and looks like it will be a mix of the Circuit of Ireland stages and the Circuit of Kerry that we did earlier this season. It looks really good fun! Tricky and a lot of bumps and it will suit the ADAMs perfectly!
“We did a race in Germany in an ADAM to get as prepared as possible and we found some keys on my tarmac driving that hopefully will make us faster.
“Both me and Andreas are really looking forward for the final two events!”
