Former Ginetta Junior racer Enzo Fittipaldi will compete in single-seaters for the first time next weekend as he makes his debut in the FIA Formula 4 NACAM series.
Fittipaldi’s maiden outing will come in support of the FIA Formula One World Championship at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit in Mexico City.
The teenager made his car-racing debut this season in the Ginetta Junior Championship, securing a pair of Rookie class podium finishes including a maiden win at Croft.
The Brazilian would bring his campaign to an early conclusion though, sitting out the final three meetings of the season as he decided to turn his attentions to F4 testing ahead of 2017.
Fittipaldi’s initial single-seater testing has included a couple of days with Arden Motorsport at Rockingham in July, and then an outing with Fortec Motorsport at Silverstone in August.
The 2016-17 F4 NACAM (Mexico) season kicked off at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas last month, with Andres Gutierrez securing a double victory and the early points lead.
