G57 Debuts For Optimum And HHC Amongst Seven Car Dubai Entry

1 Mins read

Experienced Ginetta squads HHC Motorsport and Optimum Motorsport will make their Ginetta G57 prototype debuts as part of the inaugural rounds of the Creventic 24H Proto Series.

The championship will launch with a triple header of three hour races in support of the 2017 Hankook 24 Hours of Dubai on the 10th/11th January next year.

Multiple Ginetta champions HHC will make their prototype debuts as part of an expanded motorsport programme for 2017, which also includes a first-time entry into British GT.

Optimum meanwhile head to Dubai as regulars in the Dubai 24 Hour race itself, having previously taken class wins in 2012 and 2015 with Ginetta G55 GT4 machinery.

“It’s very important to have a ladder from entry level motorsport through to Le Mans,” said Optimum team owner Shaun Goff.

“As an established team which currently operates in all levels of racing up to GT3, having this opportunity to be involved with prototypes is next logical step for us.”

They will be joined on the grid by last year’s SP3 class winners in the 24 hour race Century Motorsport, who made their G57 debut during last month’s V de V Championship finale at Estoril.

“We couldn’t have got off to a better start in prototypes, finishing on the podium at our first event in Estoril,” said Century principal Nathan Freke.

“This is one of our major new programmes for 2017 and I certainly hope we can achieve some top results in Dubai to get our year off to the best possible start.”

Completing the entry is experienced G57 entrants Simpson Motorsport and CWS Racing, as well as fellow newcomers Graff Racing and Atech Racing Dubai.
