Hedley Signs Up With Elite For Junior Testing Programme

1 Mins read

Car-racing rookie James Hedley has teamed up with Elite Motorsport for a testing programme ahead of a planned Ginetta Junior Championship debut at the end of the season.

Hedley, son of the 1994 Formula 3 National Championship runner-up Gray Hedley, is preparing to make a transition to car-racing after competing in karting.

The Dorset-based racer has competed in Honda Cadet karting, finishing runner-up in the 2015 London Camberley Championship and winning the 2016 Easter Championship.

Hedley’s testing programme will be completed with a view to making his race debut in the season-ending Winter Series, prior to a full entry in the 2018 championship.

“We successfully raised funds to buy the car and that was it!” said Hedley Snr.

“Originally with budget restraints, it was just going to be “Dad with Van and Trailer” for testing miles, however, Ed Ives offered us a very good deal to tag along with their professional team.

“This will enable me to concentrate on generating sponsorship so that James’ can achieve his next ambition to compete in the Winter Championship and a full season in 2018.”
