JHR Up To Four With Ginetta Junior Debutant Luff

1 Mins read

Ginetta Junior Scholarship finalist Matt Luff will mount an assault on the BTCC support series for the first time this year with JHR Developments.

The 15 year old makes the transition to car-racing following an impressive couple of years in karting, having won the SODI World Series title in both 2015 and 2016.

Luff produced an impressive display in the Ginetta Scholarship contest in October to finish in the top three, eventually losing out to his new JHR team-mate Adam Smalley.

The addition of the Romford-based racer to the grid means that four of the final twelve drivers from the Scholarship are now contesting the 2017 championship.

“After a very successful 2016 in karts I’m looking forward to the move into cars,” said Luff.

“I hope to build upon my success of finishing top three in the Ginetta Junior Scholarship 2017. I’m sure that with JHR behind me I can progress throughout the year and have an outstanding season”

Alongside Luff and Smalley, JHR have previously confirmed two drivers who contested selected round in the championship last year, Harry Dyson and Jenson Dineen.

JHR Team Manager Jules Phillips added:We are very pleased to sign Matt as he has far exceeded our expectations every time he gets in the car.

“He fits perfectly into a strong team line up this year and will be targeting the podium.”
