Codemasters has announced that its highly revered console racer GRID Autosport is getting an iOS release, with the help of Feral Interactive. It will be available on both the iPhone and iPad, making the world’s best cars and trickiest circuits available whether you’re at home or on the hoof.
The port will include the game in its entirety as well as all of the additional Downloadable Content (DLC) that was released post-launch.
A total of five disciplines will be included, all encompassed into the one download. These are touring cars, endurance events, drifting contests, open-wheel and street races.
Over 22 locations will be available, providing upwards of 100 routes, combining the best of modern and classic venues such as Hockenheim, Yas Marina and San Francisco.
In the “garage” you will find 80 top-class sports cars, including the McLaren 12C GT3, Dallara F312, Mazda RX-7 (FD3S) Drift Tuned, AUDI RS 5 COUPE and Pagani Zonda Revolución.
In place of a controller, the game will utilise the iOS’ intuitive tilt and touch capabilities to deliver an arcade x simulation experience. It will, however, feature full support for the MFi gamepad.
At the time of writing GRID Autosport is “coming soon”.
