Collard Moves To HHC For Second Junior Campaign

1 Mins read

Second year driver Jordan Collard has been named as HHC Motorsport’s final driver for the 2017 Ginetta Junior Championship.

Collard, son of BTCC racer Rob, secured three overall top ten finishes during his Ginetta Junior bow last season with Total Control Racing.

The 16 year old also picked up a trio of Rookie class podiums across his maiden campaign, including a breakthrough class win at Knockhill.

With the overall championship top three in his sights, Collard has jumped ship to HHC for 2017, who have won four of the last five drivers titles.

Collard said: “I thoroughly enjoyed my first season in the Ginetta Junior Championship. I set out to get to grips with the car and the track, so picking up rookie podiums too was a real bonus.

“This year I’m aiming to be consistently at the front, and challenge for a top three championship position. Bring on Brands Hatch!”

Collard is HHC’s fifth and final confirmed driver for the new season, joining fellow returnees Tom Wood and Charlie Digby, plus rookies Ruben Del Sarte and Scott McKenna.

HHC Team Manager Charlie Kemp added: “We are delighted to have Jordan in our line-up, as a second year driver we aim to build on his experience and develop him to be a consistently fast mature driver who can challenge at the front of the grid.

“We have already made improvements with pre-season testing and are confident that with the work ethic and determination Jordan is showing that we can help him to achieve his goals for 2017.”
