A dominant victory from Cameron Das saw the American close the gap on his BRDC British F3 championship rival Enaam Ahmed, who was involved in a first corner incident for the second Rockingham race.
The reverse grid event saw Jamie Chadwick start on pole after a tremendous defensive display on Saturday. She continued her tactics going into the hairpin holding off the majority of the field.
A lightning start from Omar Ismail though, saw the Chris Dittmann Racing driver immediately move into the lead holding the advantage for the opening few laps. Das meanwhile had kept out of trouble in the opening corners and scythed through into the lead after a further two laps.
The opening lap had seen contact between James Pull and Nicolai Kjaergaard, spinning them both and catching championship leader Ahmed. Pull would retire as the remaining two continued on at the back.
Das continued to break away, eventually winning the encounter by a spectacular 6.4 seconds and making the most of a dire race for his rivals. Ismail would come home for a solid second place as Chadwick completed the podium from Ben Hingeley.
It was fifth place that saw the most battling though, with Callan O’Keeffe being forced to hold off Toby Sowery and Harry Hayek. Sowery was clearly much quicker, but the South African knew exactly where to place his vehicle during the fourteen lap thriller.
5 second penalties for those behind saw Ahmed classify eighth and recover after being punted off in the opening lap.
