Andy Wilmot has been announced as Team HARD’s second driver for the 2017 Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup, making his debut next weekend at Donington Park.

The British Touring Car Championship squad are entering the Supercup for the first time this season, having previously ran Ginetta G55’s in British GT.

Wilmot made his BTCC debut with the team at Rockingham back in 2013, before then contesting selected rounds in a Welch Motorsport Proton in 2015.

The 36 year old will be an entrant in the Supercup’s AM class alongside team-mate Dan Kirby, who secured the team a class podium finish on their category bow.

“I have been part of Team HARD. for a number of years now and have been working very hard behind the scenes to put a package together to return to the TOCA package,” said Wilmot.

“I’m realistic with my targets for the weekend but am looking forward to learning the car and getting to grips with rear wheel drive. It’s a great series and cannot wait to get out in the car at Donington.”
