Harrison Scott dominated the EuroFormula Open collective test sessions at Spa-Francorchamps, with his best lap more than a second clear of his nearest challenger on Friday.
The British racer, recently confirmed to race a full campaign with RP Motorsport, set a best time of 2:14.362s during the second of the three sessions around the Belgian circuit, with Devlin de Francesco second quickest for Carlin, 1.012 seconds slower than Scott.
Nikita Troitskiy ended the day with the third fastest time, with the Russian saving his best time for the final session, but the Drivex School driver was still 1.139 seconds down on Scott’s time, while Ameya Vaidyanathan ended up fourth for Carlin ahead of Fortec Motorsports’ Jannes Fittje.
Campos Racing filled positions six to nine, Petru Florescu finishing ahead of team-mates Matheus Iorio, Thiago Vivacqua and Simo Laaksonen, the quartet separated by just 0.130 seconds, while RP Motorsport’s Alex Karkosik completed the top ten.
