The two Haas F1 Team drivers will race the British Grand Prix with brakes from different suppliers, with Romain Grosjean racing with Carbone Industrie brakes for the first time.

The team used Friday practice to analyse whether to use Carbone Industrie brakes this weekend or to remain with Brembo brakes, and it was determined that Kevin Magnussen would stay with their regular supplier, whereas Grosjean switches to the new supplier.

Haas have tested with Carbone Industrie brakes in practice for the Brazilian Grand Prix last season before doing it again this year in Russia, but cooling problems then meant they did not continue to race with the brakes, but subsequent development saw them test again this weekend.

Grosjean revealed on Friday that his mechanics made a brake change in between sessions at Silverstone, with Brembo brakes being used in the first session and Carbone Industrie in the second.

After discussions overnight, Grosjean decided the risk was worth taking to run with Carbone Industrie, but Magnussen will stick with Brembo, with the Dane wanting to do some additional testing before he uses them in race conditions.
