Dan Cammish Blog: 9 Wins, 9 Pole Positions And More To Come

1 Mins read

Hello again TCF, I hope you have been well and enjoying the 2013 racing season. I think this is the perfect time to give you an update on my season and look toward what I have coming up. Partly because after the first 3 rounds we are now in a 5 week break, but also because I am currently on holiday and it’s raining.

I have had a great start to the season winning all 9 of the races so far. I have also had all 9 pole positions which has given me a very healthy championship lead at this stage.

The next race will be Oulton Park and I am very much looking forward getting started after the long break. It’s a fantastic circuit to drive and I’m sure it will draw a big crowd. It is also one of the races closer to my home of Leeds so I’m looking forward to family and friends making the trip to watch.

I haven’t been in the Ford since the last race at Thruxton and at this point have no plans to test before the next round. I’m sure some of the other drivers will have got a day or 2 in somewhere, although my American team mate Kaminsky and I believe the two Argentinians from Jamun were heading home for a short break so maybe not.

I did do a few laps in a Radical SR3 a couple of weeks ago whilst coaching a driver for my JTR team. It was a fun experience and I thought the car was fantastic. I can see why why they get so much praise and its thoroughly deserved.

I don’t really have much to add at this point. As you can imagine I’m incredibly happy with how things are going and I hope to carry that through after the break. The team are giving me a fantastic car and we are continually working to improve it. I hope in turn that those improvements can help my team mates Sam and Camren who are also learning and improving as the year progresses.

I will get the next couple of races out of the way and give you a further update. For now though, it’s still raining.

Dan
