Piranha Motorsport is set to give the brand new Lotus 2-11 sports car it's British GT Championship debut later this month with driver Chris Bialan and Simon Mason.
Bialan and Mason will be heading to Cadwell Park on 12 September to give the Lotus a shakedown in the Lotus trophy race, and the pair believe it has got what it takes to beat the opposition “We are convinced that we can take the fight to the other cars and prove the Lotus 2-11 is a true successor to the great Lotus road and sports car racers of the past.”
It seems that the British GT Championship is just the start of things with Piranha planning to race the car in Europe along with the Dubai 24-hour sports car race in January.
“Our plan is to demonstrate the versatility of the team and the Lotus 2-11, and our ability to adapt to different race strategies, tyres and set-up approaches,” added Mason.
