Coates Announces New Fitness Partnership

1 Mins read

Ginetta Junior star Max Coates has secured a new sponsorship deal with Catterick Leisure Centre, who will aid him with his fitness programme ahead of the 2011 season.

The Richmond sixth form student heads into this season's Ginetta Junior Championship as one of the favourites for the title, after finishing eleventh in last year's championship, before taking his first podium finishes and maiden win in November's Winter Series.

The agreement will give Max, who the MSA class as a potentially elite athlete, full use of the centre's 42 station fitness gym, six-lane 25 metre swimming pool and six-court sports hall to build up his fitness ahead of the new season. The centre is a new £21m facility and was officially opened in July 2009.

Jo Dixon from Catterick Leisure Centre commented: “We are proud to be able to support Max with his fitness for the forthcoming season. He will be training in the excellent facilities we have here, primarily the Gym and Swimming Pool. He has been selected as a potentially elite athlete by his sports governing body so we are confident about his potential for this year.”

Catterick Leisure Centre joins Harron Homes, Oxy Face Wash, Pyeroy Ltd, 019 Race Wear, Graphics York and Dimensions Clothing in backing Coates on his 2011 championship charge.
