Radio Silverstone has launched an all-new online motorbike show entitled ‘On Two Wheels’ which will be streamed live each and every week.
Presented by Paul Musselle, who also presents British Superbike Radio (BSB Radio), ‘On Two Wheels’ will be streamed online at www.silverstone.co.uk/radio/live.html every Thursday from 8pm to 10pm, starting tonight.
The show will feature a mix of star-studded interviews, topical debate, features and all the latest headlines from the biking and racing world, and aims to be the UK’s most in-depth and extensive weekly radio motorcycle magazine.
Musselle helped conceive the original concept for the show and is hoping to enhance the fans' enjoyment and understanding of motorcycle racing.
“‘On Two Wheels’ offers a unique opportunity for motorcycle fans to immerse themselves in biking news, interviews, gossip and reviews for two hours every week. We aim to include everything from lifestyle features to racing news, so there’s something for everyone. Producing the show weekly means that fans across the country, and indeed the World, can listen in on a regular basis and not just on race weekends whilst at the track.”
Tonight’s opening show includes interviews with World Superbike star Jonathan Rea, who will be back in action in Salt Lake City this weekend with Castrol Honda. Ulster ace Alastair Seeley will also be on the show, fresh from his victory at the North West 200. Two British Superbike racers will also appear, with Croft winner Jon Kirkham joined by Jenny Tinmouth, who became the first lady to race in British Superbikes this year.
On top of that, the voice of BSB pit lane, Larry ‘Scoop’ Carter, who also reports for the BBC at the major road races, will present a regular and exclusive insight into the happenings in the racing world as well as previewing the weekend’s action.
As well as the weekly broadcast, ‘On Two Wheels’ will be also be broadcasting locally around the Northampton track on 87.7FM during specially extended versions of the show, scheduled for Silverstone’s MotoGP (June 10-12) and World Superbike (July 29/31) event weekends.
Listeners can follow news and schedule updates from the show on Twitter @on2wheelsradio, with the show set to host its first competition on Twitter in the coming weeks.
