1 Mins read

Will Bratt topped the timesheets in second free practice for the FIA Formula Two Championship at the Nurburgring.

Benjamin Lariche, Christopher Zanella and Ramon Pineiro were the early pacesetters in the session, which took place on a dry circuit after a wet start to proceedings in the earlier session.

Jordan King then went fastest – the 17-year-old continuing his impressive pace since his entrance to F2 at Spa last weekend.

German driver Thiemo Storz soon took top spot at his home track, before Bratt went quickest on his final lap of the session. He was 0.38 seconds quicker than Storz, with King finishing up in third place.

Championship leader Mirko Bortolotti was fourth fastest, with Zanella fifth and Pineiro sixth. Mihai Marinescu pipped Johannes Theobald to seventh, with Jack Clarke ninth and Miki Monras in tenth.

Jolyon Palmer continued his steady start to his series return by going 16th quickest. Morning pacesetter Mikkel Mac could only manage 23rd, just ahead of newcomer Fabio Gamberini.
