Aaron Steele Sweeps F3 Cup Weekend At Brands

1 Mins read

On his home track Kentish driver Aaron Steele dominated the MSV F3 Cup meeting at Brands Hatch scoring two pole positions, two wins and two fastest laps.

Not only does the perfect score move the Grays Motorsport driver a step nearer the Formula 2 test drive awarded to one driver from the series at the end of the year, but gave him a perfect score toward the Sunoco Grand-Am 200 Challenge. The competition, organised by fuel supplier Sunoco, offers the opportunity to drive in the Continental Tire series at Daytona International Speedway.

Steele enthused: “Another great day to finish off another perfect win and maximum points towards the Sunoco challenge!”

Steele now has a ten point advantage in the Grand-Am 200 points standings – which are worked out using average scores across the season – over Production Touring Car front runner Adrian Churchill.

“Building up an advantage at the moment is key to maintaining a lead in the event of a car failure In the future. Two more poles, wins and fastest laps will go nicely towards the Sunoco GRAND-AM 200 Challenge, not a bad way to earn them driving around the amazing Brands Hatch GP circuit on one of the best days of August.”

From the driver's home event the next races on the calendar are on Grays Motorsport's home territory at the Welsh circuit of Anglesey
