Geddies Chase British GT Lead In Final Month Of 2011 Season

1 Mins read

Glynn Geddie and his father Jim will resume their challenge for the Avon Tyres British GT Championship this weekend when the series visits Rockingham in Northamptonshire.

A strong weekend at Spa-Francorchamps left the CRS Racing duo just two points behind championship leaders Matt Bell and Michael Guasch in their Audi R8.

“It has been almost two months since our last race in the British GT so we are both extremely keen to get back on the track,” said Glynn. “We’ve enjoyed a steady campaign so far and remain in a strong position to really challenge for the honours.”

The two one hour races on the Rockingham roval lie at the start of hectic climactic month for the GT championship with a three hour race at Donington and the two hour finale at Silverstone left in the 2011 season

Geddie said; “We are heading towards the business end of the season where it’s vital we are on top form to help our championship charge. It’s been thoroughly enjoying racing with my dad this season but it would be even better if we could win a championship together.”

The younger Geddie is hoping to better his championship runner-up spot from last year after he completed most of the season alongside Porsche driver David Ashburn.
