Alice Powell has joined Status Grand Prix for the final GP3 Series pre-season test at Silverstone this week.
It will be 19-year-old Powell's first appearance at a GP3 test, and she will be the only newcomer for tomorrow's first day of the two-day test. After winning the Formula Renault BARC title in 2010, Powell finished ninth in Formula Renault UK last year.
Silverstone-based team Status have already signed Marlon Stockinger and Kotaro Sakurai as two of their drivers for the coming season, and have already tested a number of other drivers in the previous pre-season tests at Estoril and Barcelona, including 2010 Formula Renaut UK champion Tom Blomqvist.
Lotus GP, MW Arden and Manor all bring their confirmed lineups for the 2012 season to the Silverstone test, while series newcomers Ocean will also run their complete lineup for the first time after signing Kevin Ceccon since the last test. Jenzer and Trident will only run two cars each for the first day, driven by their confirmed racers for 2012.
William Buller continues to test for Carlin alongside confirmed drivers Alex Brundle and Antonio Felix da Costa, while Belgian John Wartique remains with Atech CRS GP have appeared alongside Tamas Pal Kiss and Ethan Ringel at the Barcelona test.
