Riders For Health To Auction Sky Sports IndyCar Experience

Riders for Health are offering IndyCar fans the opportunity to enjoy a unique experience during the season finale at Fontana next weekend. In an online auction, the public can bid for the chance to visit Sky Sports studios for the championship decider and go behind-the-scenes with the team including presenter Keith Huewen.

Will Power leads Ryan Hunter-Reay by seventeen points heading into the MAVTV 500 at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA and is looking to make it third time lucky having finished runner-up to Dario Franchitti in the last two years.

The auction runs until Monday 10th September and any potential buyers should visit The live broadcast will begin at 1.30am in the early hours of September 16th and anyone looking to attend will need to be at the Sky Sports studios for midnight.

The auction also has plenty of interest for motorcycling fans with a Yamaha YZF-R1 donated by Bennetts which has been ridden by the likes of Cal Crutchlow and James Toseland. Clothing and apparel signed by stars such as Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa are also up for auction plus a knee slider used and signed by Andrea Dovizioso.

All money raised will support Riders for Health in its work which includes using motorcycles, ambulances and other four-wheeled vehicles to help local health workers reach isolated villages in Africa, enabling them to provide reliable health care. What’s more, the UK government will match all money raised themselves, doubling the proceeds.
