Jackson To Return For Second Ginetta Juniors Season

1 Mins read

Tom Jackson is returning for a second season in the Ginetta Junior Championship in 2013, signing with the new Junior Race Car Academy team for a title challenge.

Jackson made his car-racing debut last season, taking a best finish of  seventh on his way to tenth in the standings. His efforts running as a privateer earnt him the Ginetta ‘Spirit of the Championship’ Award at the recent Ginetta Awards.

“My main goal for 2013 is to win the championship,” said Jackson. “There is no point if you do not have the intention of winning! Having now raced competitively on all tracks on the Ginetta Junior Championship calendar, I believe this year will be more successful than the 2012 season. Also having run as a “lads & dads” team for the majority of 2012, allowed me to understand the cars structure and mechanical side.”

Jackson joins Ryan Hadfield in the HHC Motorsport-run Junior Race Car Academy outfit.

“We are delighted to have Tom as the second driver in the Junior Race Car Academy Team,” said team principal Charlie Kemp. “Tom has been involved with the Junior Race Car Academy since his first laps in a G40 over a year and a half ago, and to be able to continue our relationship by running him in the Ginetta Junior Championship is fantastic.”
