Several GT teams in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship will run on Michelin tyres after the company were confirmed an as approved supplier in the series for the next two seasons.
A majority of the teams in the GT Le Mans (GTLM) class will use Michelins. Corvette Racing, SRT Motorsports, BMW Team RLL, Risi Competizione and the new Porsche North America squad will all use Michelin tyres on the full season campaigns in the class. Aston Martin Racing’s single car entry for the four North American Endurance Championship races will also run on Michelin rubber.
“Michelin’s record in sports car racing, particularly in North America, speaks for itself,” said Scott Atherton, president and COO of IMSA, sanctioning body of the TUDOR Championship. “We witnessed first hand the many positive contributions Michelin provided the American Le Mans Series over many years and could not be more proud to welcome this truly world-class manufacturer into the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.”
Audi’s victory at June’s 24 Hours of Le Mans continued a 16 year winning streak for cars on Michelin tyres in the famed endurance race. The tyre manufacturer also notched up 139 overall win and 392 class wins in 147 races in the American Le Mans Series.

The TUDOR Championship season begins with the Rolex 24 at Daytona on January 25-26.
